Charley Boorman of the hit tv series The Long Way Round and The Long Way Down, which he starred in with Ewan McGregor, and more recently By Any Means, will launch and speak at the show.After Long Way Down, 2008 sees Charley taking on a solo adventure from Ireland to Australia. Away from his acting career, the journeys have taught him to overcome fear, learn about endurance, cope with change and broaden his horizons. Yesterday, on Thursday 14th February, Explore the Outdoors invited members of the media from ITV Westcountry, Plymouth Sound and The Herald to the dizzy heights of the Citadel to take part in a 70ft abseil to help promote the show, under the watchful eye of the Royal Navy who are sponsoring the Adrenaline Zone.10 members of Plymouth Pavilions also took part, and a fantastic day was had by all. Not least because the sun was shining and the views from the Citadel were stunning.Come along to the show for your own adventure with the Royal Navy, who are bringing the highest mobile indoor climbing wall in Europe at 32ft high.
